Homemade Protein Bars!

Here’s what you’ll need to make these protein bars :

  • Peanut Butter or Almond butter! This will be your binding ingredient, also a great source of healthy fats

  • Honey – For a touch of sweetness

  • Coconut oil - coconut oil has many nutrients and fatty acids that your body needs

  • Oats - the perfect complex carb, you can use slightly ground oats or oat flour will work too

  • Protein Powder – I used a plant based protein but you can use any protein you would like.

  • Any mix ins you would like - flaxseeds, chia seeds, nuts, coconut, chocolate chips, hemp seeds

Ingredients

·       1 cup of peanut butter

·       1/4 cup of coconut oil

·       1/4 honey

·       1 and 1/4 cup of oats, 2 scoops of protein powder

·       1 cup total of mix ins (flaxseeds, chia seeds, nuts, coconut)

Instructions

1.  In a mixing bowl add in peanut butter, coconut oil and honey

2. Stir wet ingredients until combined

3. Add in oats, protein powder and mix ins

4. Mix until combined

5.  Spread out mixture onto a pan lined with parchment paper

6. Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to make cutting easier or you can put in the freezer for 10 minutes

7. Once the bars are chilled and hold form, cut evenly into bars
